Where is the best place to stay the week of March 5-11 for college kids on a budget? We want to stay on the beach but we have been reading some of the reviews and we%26#39;re not sure where to stay. We%26#39;ve considered the Atlantica, Boardwalk Beach Resort, and a few others...any ideas?

The Atlantica and Boardwalk are both decent choices. The only concern that I have with the Atlantica right now is the construction going on ocean front. Not at the hotel but in the stormwater runoff project there at the pier at 14th Ave N. Just a bunch of construction vehicles right there on the beach.....
You might also take a look at Cadillac Court or even Court Capri. I think for people on spring break the area from about 17th Ave N to about 30th Ave N is close enough to everything without being right downtown on the strip...
I bet you all are getting excited! The trip isnt that far away!

Yeah it%26#39;s getting close! Yikes, construction! So do you know where most of the spring breakers tend to stay? I would like to go somewhere that we could meet up with more people our age. We were also wondering if you had any comments on the M Grande Resort? (I think that is what it was called).
Jess, check out Sand Castle At The Pavillion. My son and his friends stayed there a couple of years ago.
Decent rates and convenient.

Hi JessH387,
I searched all over for a place for my daughter and her friends to stay 18-19. It was not easy finding a place as most hotels want a 21-25 year old to check in. I found a 2 bedroom suite at the Atlantica, it was only $71.00 a night. BUT%26lt;,, You have to leave a 400.00 deposit for a suite and I think a 200.00 for a reg room if you are under 21. Good Luck and have fun.... Be very carefull!!
I think the area just north of the Atlantica is good...a number of spring breakers do stay at Cadillac Court, Boardwalk, Court Capri (this would be around the 21st Ave N and Ocean Blvd area --- not far from Broadway at the Beach). Sandcastle is a good option, thats heading south, as is Quality Inn and Suites, Coral Beach. Not sure of your ages, but some properties do have age restrictions..but most of the above rent to 25 and under with either a CC for deposit or cash deposit.
M Grande used to be the old 4 Points Sheraton. Its gone under some intensive renovations...and looks good. Only problem...construction right next door!
Hey Mag,
I can understand the dilema most parents go thru when looking for a ';safe'; place for their ';seniors';. One place that doesn%26#39;t charge an arm %26amp; leg type of deposit, and is very well kept (and safe!)..and somewhat plush is the Sheraton at the convention center. I know, I know...its NOT oceanfront..but it is just a short walk (less than 2 blocks) to the beach, and about that far to Broadway at the Beach. And, sometimes if you are really nice to the Bellmen...they can be talked into taking you over to the beach and Broadway via the hotel shuttle service :) They do charge a deposit to ANYBODY no matter the age if they are paying cash...but if you are using a CC to pay for the room, no deposit even!
