Water/Weather temp in April

I%26#39;m trying to plan a trip during spring break for my friends and our children. Is the water warm in mid-April? Is it good beach weather?

Water/Weather temp in April

The temps probably run right around the mid 60%26#39;s to maybe a few days seeing the mid to upper 70%26#39;s. Nights are cool, but comfortable. The water starts warming up about that time, but still a bit chilly. That being said, you still see a number of folks out in the ocean that time of year. The days are usually clear and sunny, so days at the beach are great!

The average high is in the mid 70%26#39;s; days in the 80%26#39;s aren%26#39;t uncommon. It was in the 70%26#39;s last week and will be back up in the 60%26#39;s at the end of this week (supposedly). Late April the Ocean water could be manageable and many condos and motels have heated pools or indoor pools.

The average air temperature in April is 76 and the average water temperature is 68.
