Hi,
My boyfriend and I are planning a 4-5 day getaway trip to NMB/MB in mid-March. We are looking for a nice/clean beachfront hotel(preferably newer) that is decent priced but also has amenities such as complimentary breakfast and a nice view. We%26#39;re willing to pay around $70-$90 per night. We really like Beach Cove so far. We like Avista also, but they are a little more on the high end. Can anyone recommend any other good places to stay? Thanks much!

The Beach Cove is a older building but very nice and is closer to MB and just down the road from Barfoot Landing with all the shop%26#39;s dinning and House of Blues. The Vista is only a year old and it too is a very nice place to stay. If new is what you want then spend a little more and stay at the Vista. If your like me and rather spend the money on other things then stay at the Beach Cove you will not be disapointed.

Thanks for your input! I%26#39;ve done so much research, I think Beach Cove has the best all-around package so far. Based on reviews, its a nice, clean hotel, decent price, good location w/ shopping nearby and supposedly has an incredible view of the ocean. They also have a special breakfast package deal on their website. :) I hope this turns out to be a good choice! Thanks again!
Hi Again,
We%26#39;re going to be driving to NMB from Buffalo, NY. Does anyone have suggestions on the best route to get there?. We want some nice scenic views during our drive, maybe stop in a few towns, but we also want to avoid any heavy traffic. We%26#39;ll probably leave on a Sunday in March. Thanks!
Beach Cove may be very nice and have a great breakfast? I wouldn%26#39;t let breakfast be the deciding factor when I could go to Dino%26#39;s or Cracker Barrel. I 95 to Smithfield NC, NC 701 through Newton Grove NC, I 40 to Wilmington and 17 to North Myrtle is the quickest route. As far as scenic, take an extra couple of days; take 64 from Richmond through Hampton Roads and Newport News Va, through Norfolk tp 17 S. Take 17 to Elizabeth City and 158 through Kitty Hawk (Wright Bros. Memorial), through Kill Devils Hill and Nag Head (that would be a good area to stay if you%26#39;d like to cheack out (the Lost Colony and Fort Raleigh in Manteo). Take highway 12 to Buxton and check out Cape Hatteras lighthouse quickly, go to Hatteras and take the ferry to Ocracoke (ride around Ocracoke; Blackbeard%26#39;s hideout) and take the Cedar Island ferry, take Hwy. 70 to Beaufort and ride into downtown and check out their water scenery, then take Hwy. 70 to Morehead City, then to Atlantic Beach and take Hwy. 58 down Bouge Banks, go through Swansboro and Camp LeJeune and take 17 into Wilmington and to North Myrtle. Check out Fairfield Ocean Blvd. @ Ocean drive.
