Going in July with 4 kids - possible wedding. HELP!!!!!????

My fiance and I are taking the kids to Myrtle Beach the week of July 4th (I know..it will be crowded, but only time we can get off of work). We are also contemplating getting married on the beach (and will check out the requirements beforehand if we do this). My head is swimming from all of the hotels, motels, condos, etc etc etc. And I keep getting myself confused. My first thought was to stay at Serendipity as it is out of the way, but still has a pool and we can walk to the ocean.....and is affordable. No ocean view, but that is ok. Any other suggestions?? I don%26#39;t really like the high rises or the idea of how crowded they are going to be. And...cannot spend a huge amount as we want to be able to go out and have fun at the activities.

I would not stay here because it anit a 4 star hotel but it sounds great for what you are looking for. It is Springmaid Beach. It is located in South MB and it is the very first hotel from Merrells inlet. They have a pier, pools, lazy rivers, arcade, resturants, etc. This anit no hotel to get married at but it is for a family vaction. Here is there website.

You didnt say what price range you wanted to stay in...but July 4th in Myrtle is probably the highest priced of anytime of year. There are some great places out there if you dont mind not being ocean front. Probably one of the best kept secrets is that for most ';golf'; resorts, this is the slowest time of year...with that being said, you may want to check out Myrtlewood Villas or Barefoot Resort. You will be amazed at what you can get for your $$ there! A website you may check out is www.myrtlebeachtrips.com

Myrtlewood Villas arent that far from Broadway at the Beach either. And Barefoot Resort is across the waterway to Barefoot Landing!

Re: getting married on the beach. Its a great idea! There is a company in town, I think it%26#39;s called ';Beach Weddings';...I know that either the folks at Dandelion Florists or Lazelle%26#39;s Flowers would know for sure! And be sure to take the kids down to the beach for the 4th! You will be amazed at all the firework shows you can see from there!

Congrats! And Have Fun! :)
