I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the Forest Dunes Oceanfront resort is up to date or outdated and how nice of an area it is located at. It looks nice on the website and it has indoor pools for cooler months (coming in March). Any information would be helpful. Thanks!!
Forest DunesWhat you need to do is request an A-Rated unit as the condos are individually owned and are rated (a-b-c) based on condition of the unit.Speaking from experience the A-rated units are a great deal.Anything from the 6th floor and up will give you an excellent view as there are no high rises close by on either side.
The surrounding area is unique because its mostly residential and a great opportunity for joggers and walkers. The beach in front has sand dunes,a small park,gazebo%26#39;s and cabana%26#39;s and an exercise trail.
Ask for Phil Greeson and tell him I sent you.
Its also right in the middle of all attractons,5 miles from Broadway At The Beach and 8 miles from Barefoot Landing.
Close by restaurants I recommend are Villa Mare, Bonefish Grille and Carolina Roadhouse.
Forest DunesWe have stayed at Forest Dunes three times and it has always been great. The units are very clean and, while they aren%26#39;t super fancy, they are very nice and you can%26#39;t beat the price. The lazy river is excellent and covered in the cooler months, so it will still be covered when you go in March. The area of MB where it is located is pretty quiet and several blocks from all of the amusement parks, bars, etc. There is a great view of the ocean and the staff are helpful and friendly. If we ever go back to MB we will definitely stay there again.
Thank you for the information...now if I can get a hold of them the 800 # seems to be busy a lot.
