Suggestions for a room with a view

My husband and I are looking for a one bedroom, with a refrigerator, microwave and an ocean front view. This will be our first visit to the area.

Would like to know what is exciting to see and do. We would like to go deep sea fishing for half a day.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

A number of places come to mind. And you may want to check some of the various reviews that are posted off to the left. Mariott Grande Dunes, Grande Shores, Long Bay, Ocean Reef, Caravelle, and Monteray Bay in the Avenues section of Myrtle Beach (great beach area! Within walking distance to a couple miles of numerous restaurants and some great late night spots) Then you have the ';gazebo'; section - Sea Island (reopens May 1), Southwind (really nice), Ocean Dunes (condos), Forest Dunes, Cherry Tree (older, but cute), Beach Colony....then we get to the upper end of the Ocean Blvd area...Breakers, Caribbean (alot of construction now tho%26#39;) Camelot, Atlantic (just to name a few!)...then towards the south end of the Blvd you have Coral Beach, Hampton Inn Oceanfront, M Grande, Holiday Inn Oceanfront, Springmaid..

As far as what to do...wow, there is alot! Depending on what you like..but check out this website:

This is like a local tourist publication. Its got a pretty good map too. Check out the LYMO (our local transportation co.) maps and routes

As far a deep sea fishing, I really like the crew up at Hurricane Fleet. Steve and his crew have always treated anyone I%26#39;ve sent his way great! I went on on of their trips once, had NO idea what I was doing (it was a gulfstream trip --- alllllll daaaayyy) but one of the mates was right there to teach me how to bait my hook, how to hold the rod, how to hook the fish (I kept losing my bait!) then how to take the fish off the hook..and then how to put them on one of those stringers (ouch!) And I was one of maybe 40 on the boat! Then whatever you catch..they will clean and filet it for you just how you want for at that time 17 cents a pound! This company does full day, half day, gulfstream, or private charter (party boats). They also do a Dolphin Adventure cruise which is really cool! Check them out at

Tell George and Steve I said ';Hi';!

Check out Fairfield Ocean Blvd.; I%26#39;ve stayed there twice, it%26#39;s very nice.

One the fishing, if you really love it; go for a full day. You%26#39;ll catch a lot more fish and you%26#39;ll go further out. During the summer you want to fish for bottom fish or dolphin (Mahi Mahi). The Hurricane Fleet is an excellent choice....go all day and bring back some red snapper.

I will say Coral BEach

Forest Dunes on 55th and Ocean has 1 bedroom condos with great views especially from the ocean fronts which have floor to ceiling windows in the living rooms.Get one starting on the 6th floor and up to the 12th.If your bringing any children get an oceanview which is slightly larger and has an extra 1/2 bathroom but no floor to ceiling windows just a private balcony with a southern view.
