another question re hampton inn

Last year we stayed at the beach colony and were extrememly disappointed. We are a family of 5 with 3 teens and want CLEAN accommodations! I went to the HInn website and notice there is no lounge. My husband and I like to have a drink in the evening and mingle with other guests. Would anyone know of a bar/lounge within walking distance to the HI? Or another hotel where we could have a ';nite cap';?

Another question: is the HI in a ';seedy'; area?

I got a hotel but it anit the Hampton Inn. It is Coral BEach Resort. The have a comedy club, outside beach bar and karoke, resturants, general store, bowling alley, game room, pools, and it is VER VERY VERY clean.

The Palace Hotel or the Landmark (2 %26amp; 3 hotels down from the Hampton) both have bars. Texas Roadhouse Grill is only 3 blocks from the Hampton and they have a bar as well. The Hampton Inn has a very nice, large, oceanfront lobby and a balcony with wooden rocking chairs off of the lobby so if you wanted to buy some beer/liquor and enjoy it in the lobby. I have done that and have seen other guests doing that as well. They have tables %26amp; chairs, fluffy chairs and couches in the lobby where many people gather in the evenings and play cards, board games, puzzles etc (you have to bring that stuff with you).

I am so sorry but I have to strongly disagree about the comment of the Coral Beach being very, very, very clean.
