Renaissance Charleston or Harbour View Inn?

I realize location is everything with the Harbour View, but many of the reviews I’ve read say they rooms aren’t all that great for the price. I made my reservation for their “suite” which includes two balconies and a Jacuzzi tub. I’ve come to find the balconies are like two feet big and the Jacuzzi tub is just a bathtub with whirlpool jets. So I’m wondering if for $1,009 for three nights this hotel is really worth it. The Renaissance will run around $800 for three nights on their Charleston Floor. I stayed at the Renaissance Arts Hotel in New Orleans last year and loved it, so I’m thinking this might be the better choice. Is the Renaissance in a bad location? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Renaissance Charleston or Harbour View Inn?

The Renaissance is on Wentworth Street and that%26#39;s a great downtown location. You can walk to all the downtown sites...it will be a little walk to get to the Battery (maybe 10 - 12 blocks) but it is a nice walk. The hotel is also very convenient to shopping on King Street so that%26#39;s a plus in my opinion. Enjoy your visit!

Renaissance Charleston or Harbour View Inn?

My vote between the 2 would be to go to the HarbourView if you are looking for something that is historic beautiful and right on the waterfront. Anothersuggestion that is also a lovely place to stay that would come with the same ammenties if not more would be to try the Governors House Inn. There rooms have the beautiful southern balconies to sit outside and the the rooms come with jacuzzis in the rooms. If you want to be wined and dined in Charleston that is you best bet. And I guarantee that you will not see a negative post on this one, this place is top notch!
