Where to buy fresh seafood in Charleston, packed with dry...

Hello,

We will be staying in Charleston in March. Where might we be able to find fresh seafood to pack into the cooler for the trip home? Preferably, it would be packed with dry ice.

Thanks!

My family has been buying from Crosby%26#39;s Seafood on Spring Street for years. They are at 382 Spring Street (about 5-10 minute drive from historic downtown) near the Riverview area. Their number is (843) 937-0029.

Crosby%26#39;s like most local fish mongols get a lot of their products right off the boats at Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant (about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown). You can got to the docks and get fish there but since you%26#39;re packing it for travel, I would suggest going to Crosby%26#39;s store so they can help you.

Enjoy your trip!

we;ve had good success with east coast seafood on wammalo island. speak with linda green 843-559-5085 jumbo%26#39;s were 3.50 / lb last time we visited and not but 2.50 for 50 lbs or more.

In March, there will not be any fresh local shrimp since the shrimping season will be closed and will not open until May or June. East Coast Seafood in Rockville on Wadmalaw Island will have frozen shrimp that were caught at the end of the season and frozen for off season sale. Just give them a call at the above mentioned number.
