Hampton Inn - Pawleys

Ripraft . . . does your suggestion that i check out pawleys plantation mean that the Hampton Inn is a bad place to stay?

I was asking about the Hampton Inn because I have booked it for one night. Of course, I can cancel if find out that it%26#39;s unclean or dreadful in any other way. I don%26#39;t really need (or want) a full condo (which is, I believe, what Pawleys Plantation offers. Just need a comfortable, safe, and clean room for the night. Thanks

Hampton Inn in Litchfield/Pawleys Island is very nice. You should find accommodations to be very clean as the hotel is fairly new.

Ripraft-

Thinking of coming to Pawleys Island in October for 2 nights, have a friend in Rock Hill that I am visiting and we wanted to go to a nice beach for a couple of nights- have not been to area (we do Isle of Palms in summer)..what do you suggest for lodging? How is Seaside Inn? Any help is greatly appreciated- Lisa in Iowa

Check the Seaside Inn comments in the Forum above on this site as well as the Fodor%26#39;s writeup, also on this site. Seaside is fun and relaxing, the food is outstanding (the main meal is at lunch), and the seaside porch and the rocking chairs can hardly be matched. It%26#39;s not the Holiday Inn or other chain -- it%26#39;s kind of a trip back to a slower paced lifestyle, with the exception of a very few rooms it isn%26#39;t air condtioned but the sea breeze at nite thru the screened windows in one of the main reasons we return there.

Did you end up staying there?

How was it? How was the ';hot'; breakfast.. ;)
