New timer ---- what to do?

I will be in MB at the end of February, and hail form upper new york. I have no idea what to expect, or what to do down there. I will be going for a workshop, and was womdering what to do in the afternoon/evenings for fun. Am not a rich girl, but not totally frugal either. any suggestions? will be around the breakers area

New timer ---- what to do?

Tbere%26#39;s more to do than you will have time for. Your hotel will have stacks of visitor%26#39;s guides with info on attractions, restaurants, shopping, shows, etc... It%26#39;s fun to go down to the Pavillion and the funky shops along Ocean Dr. There are shows to see, a Ripley%26#39;s Aquarium, shopping....go to Broadway at the Beach. And, just enjoy the beach. There%26#39;s a fine spa at Marriott Grande Dunes....Brookgreen Gardens south of Myrtle. You%26#39;ll have plenty to do and a great time. Best wishes.

Broadway at the Beach is a must. You can check out their website: www.broadwayatthebeach.com

Barefoot Landing is the same type place, but ';Broadway'; is nicer.

February may be a little chilly for a lot of beach time, but a stoll on the beach and along a pier is also a must. There are some very nice outlet stores and a couple of malls if that is your thing. And yes, check in your hotel lobby for lots of brochures of places and things to do (they have coupons too.

I enjoyed shopping along Broadway at the Beach- there are various shopping centers and North Myrtle beach has a few good shopping spots as well. If you are looking for a place to stay I would recommend Myrtlewood Villas. Whatever you do avoid Microtel Inns and Suites - the staff there is deplorable.

I visited in March of 2004, and the Pavilion and most of the stores around the %26#39;strip%26#39; area were still closed for the season. Everything was still open at Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing (though Barefoot was DEAD). The nice thing is that you don%26#39;t have to wait in line to eat! If you have a car, travel south to Murrell%26#39;s Inlet one night for dinner. And take a tour at Huntington Beach State Park. Enjoy!

Someone suggested Myrtlewood Villa%26#39;s,and although they are quite nice Im nnot sure if they have any indoor pool areas. They are a big favorite of golfers. But with prices being low at the time of year that your going you can get some great ocean front condo%26#39;s. Why take the ';Beach'; out of Myrtle Beach?

One of the best night time activities was seeing legends in concert show. This show is about impersonators. The impersonators I saw were elvis, madonna, garth brooks, rod stewart, sting, and the blues brothers. Great show for 29 dollars. Book online in advance and get front row. Small venue with about 500 seats. Its a must see that you wont regret.
