Yes, that was a great choice. But please let us know when you get back.
Hello PU.. I am also from PA...
I think you will enjoy that area of Myrtle.Less congested than the pavillion area hotels. Barefoot Landing is 6 miles to the north and Broadway At The Beach is about 4 miles south. Go up 79th st. and cross hgwy.17 and try out Villa Mare restaurant while your there.
I have stayed at the Long Bay Resort and loved it. It is a beautiful resort with a very large pool and lazy river. We went in July and the downside was it was packed with people. Going in the spring may be much better. The beach in the summer gets very crowded in the summer months, anywhere along that strip where the Long Bay is. Try and eat at the RiverCity Cafe, which is in walking district. The sandwiches are great.
Let us know on this site how you liked the resort.
Paula...... in cold Cincinnati
thank you very much all of you, I feel much better about my decision now. I am looking forward to leaving my cold PA home and being somewhere warm. I am also from PA and feel your pain in Cincy too!! I have friends from there.
I will let you all know when I get back how my trip was
Me and my family have been there several times and we are planning on going back in June. You get more for your money at this hotel. You will thoroughly enjoy your trip. We loved Long Bay Resort. Hope you have a great experience too.
Thanks Westke I am so happy to hear the good news about Long Bay, as I had mentioned its my first visit to MB and I am taking my parents. We are all adults and didnt want to be in the middle of the craziness.
Thanks again for your great input, stay warm I know I am trying.
