hotel with indoor pools for kids

My husband and I are taking our 3 children (ages 4,6 and 8) to the beach next weekend for the night. We wanted a place with plenty of indoor water activity, but also wanted a nice place. I read that the Landmark had plenty of pools, but was run-down. I also read that the Bay Watch was nice in North Myrtle, but it didn%26#39;t appear to have as much to do. Sea Crest and Monterey Bay Suites also had kid friently looking indoor pool areas. Any advice on which would be better?

There are so many to choose from.

Yes, the Landmark%26#39;s is the most extensive %26amp; a real bargain, but getting a nice room is hit or miss. You would have to specify you want one of the recently remodeled suites.

Captain%26#39;s Quarters also has a nice indoor complex and is very reasonably priced, but, like the Landmark, is not well reviewed by fussy guests.

I would suggest Long Bay for a nice, reasonably priced place. Your kids would like their kiddy pool with the rain mushrooms %26amp; lazy river. They also have shuffleboard %26amp; ping-pong. And a sauna.

PS: This time of year, you really don%26#39;t need reservations, so if you have ';reservations'; ABOUT a property, go take a look %26amp; then decide. There will be specials up on the marquees that are only available to walk-ins.

forgot to add:

Monterey Bay is very nice, you would especially like the rooms, but their indoor pool area, while very well maintained, is not nearly as large as the others mentioned. Parking can be a bummer if you have a large vehicle, but the free breakfast is a nice bonus.

All places get bad reviews here. Don%26#39;t write any of them off just because someone you don%26#39;t know was not pleased.

We just got back yesterday from a stay at the Coral Beach Resort. It has 10 pools. (4 indoor) One large indoor pool, 2 inside jacuzzi pools and a roman spa! It also has an 8 lane bowling alley! Bowling was only $2 per person before 6pm and free shoe rental. I think it%26#39;s only a $1 more plus shoe rental after 6. My 7 year old had a blast! We stayed in 606 (ocean front) it had 2 dbl beds a galley kitchen and a living area with a Murphy Bed! My son thought that was the coolest thing. It looks recently updated. New carpet and paint. We only ate breakfast once there. It was a pretty good buffet and reasonbly priced. We were there for 4 nights over New Years weekend. The staff was great. They even suggested that the Ripley%26#39;s Aquarium had a New Years Eve sleepover with the sharks for kids only 6-12 years old. I was apprehensive at first but gave in and my son said it was too cool to sleep in the shark tunnel! I highly recommend this resort. Only 10 minutes to Boardwalk at the Beach.
