September should be delightful. The entire eastern side of Hilton Head is a beach on the Atlantic. However, access is not possible everywhere because of private ownership. So if you want access to the beach, make sure that you are staying at one of the hotels/condos that gives you access to the beach. View the list of hotels on the left side of this screen.

It%26#39;s the best time of the year, the weather is usually warm in the 80%26#39;s The Ocean is very warm, and the prices are reasonable. the island is hopping with many of the year round residents returning after the summer.

Your best bet is a rental condo on the beach. Look for these at a web site like www.cyberrentals.com where owners rent to vacationers directly.

Look for Palmetto Dunes properties, especially Villa Mar, Captains Walk, Barrington, Windsor, and Hamptons. All are ocean front.

At Sea Pines, Oceanfront condos include ,Turtle Bay, South Beach Tennis.

On Forest Beach, the best are the SeaCrest Resort, Shorewood, and Ocean One.

There are other Condo rental properties besides these, but these are the top of the line.
