Good hotels near the Pavillion

I%26#39;m looking for a good, clean hotel located within walking distance of the Pavillion. Is myrtlewood villas within walking distance of this location or at least to the beach?

shdavis, to the left of this screen, if you scroll down, you will find Myrtlewood Villas listed. Click on this and it will tell you more about it. Looks like it might be a little hike to the beach and an even longer one to the Pavillion area. Other than that, it DOES look like a very nice, clean place to stay if you don%26#39;t mind being away from the beach. Personally, if I%26#39;m going to the beach for vacation, I want to stay ocean front.

Myrtlewood is definitely not within walking distance!! It%26#39;s a very nice development; the condos are clean and spacious. I%26#39;ve stayed there once on a golf package and was very pleased.....but you%26#39;ll have to drive to the beach or the Pavillion. I just booked an ocenfront room for a few days later in January at the Ocean Plaza, which is not too far from the Pavillion and right on the beach. It was only $30 a night for an oceanfront efficiency and most of the reviews I%26#39;ve read were ok....nothing glowing...but ok. I chose it mainly for price since I%26#39;ll just be golfing with my son anyway! Oddly enough, we own a condo in Myrtle but I%26#39;ve got it rented all winter so I have to resort to renting a motel!!! Talk about justice.... :o)

Check the listings and reviews here on Trip Advisor...it%26#39;s a great place to start! When you think you have the best rate....don%26#39;t forget to check with the hotel/motel directly....you may very well get an even better rate. (I did!)

Good luck!

Personally I would not recommend staying near the Pavillion Area.There%26#39;s a great area between 52nd and 79th in the northern part of M.B. Much less congested and has shuttle service to the Pav. Area from a few of the hotels. Some of the hotels are Forest Dunes,Ocoen Forest,Caravelle and Long Bay.
