SC is especially tough on drinking and driving!
In our state, if you are stopped and there is an open container containing alcohol, that is prima facie proof of DUI, not only for the driver but all passengers in the vehicle.
This includes beer and wine.
Interesting note. SC was the last state to have mini bottles served in public restaurants. On Jan 1 2006, they allowed restaurants to pour from larger bottles.
