Villa Advice

Planning to go in April with wife and two boys 15 and 13. Would like to be walking distance to Van Der Meer Tennis Center, on the beach, walking distance to shops or restaurants. It seems that Grande Ocean Club and Sea Crest are my best choices. Which is nicer /closer? Are there other suggestions?

Looks like you are interested in Forest Beach area.

Grande Ocean is a Timeshare which is run by Marriott. If you are a timeshare owner and are looking at Grande Ocean vs. Seacrest, Take Grand Ocean.

If however you are not a timeshare owner, there is the SeaCrest resort, which is not the same as the SeaCrest Tennis and Beach Club (The Timeshare). SeaCrest Resort was built in 1999 and has 122 units ranging from 1 - 3 bedrooms. The are lots of amenities like a fitness center, outdoor Jacuzzi, two pools and a Tiki Bar. In April the ';Captains Table'; restaurant should have reopened under new management.

Other choices in the Forest Beach Area which are first class would be Shorewood, and Ocean One.

Lower down on the scale are the Breakers, Seascape villas.

Having stayed at the Seacrest Villas the last 3 years, I highly recommend it. It is oceanfront, has 2 pools, a large jacuzzi, fitness center (so-so), across the street from Coligny Plaze, which has lots of shops, restaurants, a movie theater, and a Piggly Wiggly. It was where we stayed our first time (took a leap of faith...didn%26#39;t know anything about it or the area), and I wouldn%26#39;t stay anywhere else!
