Concerned kids won't have anything to do!!!

We will be visiting Isle of Palms next November to visit family nearby. I know my concerns are early, but I%26#39;m afraid my kids won%26#39;t have much fun, due to the time of year and all their ages. They are 5, 8, 11 and 16. What are the funniet things for kids down that way? Any local fun things to do, you know hidden treasures?

Concerned kids won't have anything to do!!!

They can walk the 3 mile beach, or bicycle on it

. Check tide pools. Shelling should be excellent at that time. Bike paths everywhere.

Front Beach IOP....restaraunts, beachy feel.

Everyplace has Tv...kids always take their electronics with them anyway!

I wa son the Island of Lanai, in Hawaii a few years ago...and Oliver Stone could not tear his son away from his Game-boy! LOL!

Relax. Kids always find fun wherever there is a beach.

Might be some kayaking tours available too.

You might take a ferry to Dewees Island. Does your rental have a pool table/ping pong table or a basketball hooop? Any interest in Kayaking? Anyplace to play tennis or swim indoors? Go to Charleston for a day. Bring stuff to play volley ball on the beach, frisbee etc. Does your place have a fireplace where you can toast marshmallows? Even if it%26#39;s a little nippy if your kids enjoy it, cook out. Save some movies they realllly want to see until the trip. Maybe your kids won%26#39;t be the only kids there so they%26#39;ll have friends to do things with.

Hi there,

I grew up on the IOP and still live nearby. You have a number of options for kids. Charleston has a children%26#39;s museum, a good aquarium featuring local habitat and an IMAX theater.

On the island, there is tennis at Wild Dunes or the Rec department, fishing or crabing on the beach or fishing charters at Wild Dunes Yacht Harbor.

Very nearby, in Mount Pleasant (the mainland from IOP) you have movie theatres and Boone Hall plantation. Fun for kids with You-pick fruit and vegie fields. Alos Kayaking at Shem Creek or possibly from Wild Dunes. Also a ferry in awendaw to Bull Island - national Wildlife refuge and park - a barrier island in its pristine condition.

Let =me know if you have particular interest and I can tell you the nearest/best location.
