French Quarter Inn? Hanks or Peninsula Grill?

I will be staying in Charleston only one night. Is anyone familiar with the French Quarter Inn? I have heard good things about it, but can not find anything in this forum. Any comments would be appreciated. Also, if you had to choose between Hank%26#39;s and Peninsula Grill, which would it be? I will be traveling with my 85-year-old mother. Thanks

Hank%26#39;s and Peninsula Grill are both good but different. Hank%26#39;s is high end but Peninsula Grill is more upscale than Hank%26#39;s so it really depends on your budget and taste. Hank%26#39;s is actually one of my most favorite restaurants in town...eat there at least once a month. While Hank%26#39;s is an upscale restaurant, it can be a little loud at times so that may be a distraction for your mom. Peninsula Grill is more of a special occasion place for me due to the price. Again, you can%26#39;t go wrong with either.

French Quarter Inn? Hanks or Peninsula Grill?

Both Hanks and Peninsula Grill are wonderful restaurants. I think that you would be happy with either one, and if you decide to stay at the French Quarter Inn both will be easy walking for you and your mothers. As for the French Quarter- that is a beautiful historic inn right in the heart of the market. The accommadations there comfortable, in addition you will be able to enjoy their breakfast each morning and they have a wine and cheese in the afternoons.

Thank you both for such quick replies - it sounds like I can%26#39;t go wrong with either restaurant - am probably leaning towards peninsula because of the noise factor at Hank%26#39;s. French Quarter sounds nice, too - looking forward to a nice, but short, visit.

Just when I thought I had decided on dinner at Peninsula Grill, someone mentioned Anson to me, and the menu I saw on-line does look good. Since I am only going to be in Charleston one night, I do want to get the best restaurant. We are not concerned about prices since it is such a short visit. So, Peninsula Grill or Anson? Any opinions? thanks

Between Peninsula Grill %26amp; Ansons? I think I will have to stick with your 1st 2 choices, either Hanks or Peninsula Grill.

Pennisula Grill would be my choice too.

thanks to everyone for the advice. When I looked at the menu on-line for Peninsula Grill, I%26#39;m just not sure it%26#39;s what we want. The concierge at the French Quarter Inn recommended Garibaldi%26#39;s. The menu does look good - any comments? (Anson%26#39;s will be closed the night we%26#39;re there anyway, so that is out)
