How is mid-March??

We are plnning a week long family vaction. What is the weather and the water typically like? What ae some good areas to visit for teenagers interest - we were told to check out Myrtle Beach for the kid - what is your suggestion?

How is mid-March??

Water temps in mid march are still cool in Mid march. There will be some surfing at Folly Beach but it will still be wet suit weather.

Weather shouldn%26#39;t be too bad mid to upper 60s might be a bit cooler if it is rainy, but they move through pretty quick so the whole day shouldn%26#39;t be ruined.

Teenagers always tricky as they all have a mind of there own but I would think a Ghost Walk would be a definate with teens. The Aquarium is nice too and I would think a young teen would like it but older teens might get a bit bored. My kids love it.

the Beach can be fun even if the water is too cold to swim. there are a few stores that sale cool kites by the beaches and that is always fun especially if you get a low end stunt kite.

The carriage ride is good. Get a good taste of the history of charleston but they make often bring up a few thing that they don%26#39;t have in the history books in schools.

the USS Yorktown on Patroits Point would be cool with a couple teenage boys but not sure if the girls would like tromping all over some war ships.

A few local sports teams, the Charleston Battery (soccer) have a nice stadium on Daniel Island and a big tournament March 1-25 with three MLS teams. The Charleston Riverdogs (baseball) another nice stadium but dont think they will be playing then. And a new Arena Football team starting in March called the Sandsharks? I think.

And I think everyone can find something cool at the Market.

While not really touristy there%26#39;s a place in North Charleston called Frankies Fun Park with go carts, arcade, putt-putt batting cages, and a few other things and it is well maintained and its a blast.

Im sure someone else will add a few other things
