looking for a great place to stay close to all the action

This will be our first trip to Myrtle Beach and the members of my party want to be close to all the action that%26#39;s possibly within walking distance if there is such a thing. We want a clean nice ocean front room or 2 bedroom 2 bath suite. What is this Pavillon everyone keeps talking about on this site? How close is Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood to hotels? Thanks for the help Kay in Kentucky

we are coming from Kentucky in May for Bike Week. Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock is at Broadway on the Beach. A cool place that is not exactly on the beach. The Pavillon is a place with rides etc.... We are staying at a condo in Myrtle Beach called Myrtle Beach Resort. 2 bedroom/ 2 bath for 700.00 sleeps six for seven days. It is close to suck bang blow, broken spoke and the Harley Shop. Don%26#39;t know if you bike but I think it%26#39;s a cool place to be for bike week. Jenny in Lexington Kentucky

Well, the ';action'; is really all over Myrtle Beach. You do have the Pavillion area, which is basically carnival rides and arcade games and ';sleazy'; shops. (Don%26#39;t miss the Gay Dolphin, a souviner shop) Then you have Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing. Then you have all the resturants and miniature golf courses.

Myrtle is not really a ';walking'; type of town. You need a car.

Depending on when you are going, you can find all kinds of nice ocean front rooms most anywhere.

Keep in mind that the end of May thru the middle of June is ';Senior Week'; Thats when all the high school seniors take over Myrtle Beach and it can get pretty crazy.

If you stay to the north end of Myrtle Beach (55th Ave up to 79th or so) you should be ok though.

I%26#39;d recommend Fairfield Resort at Broadway marriott.com/property/propertypage.mi…

Look into Forest Dunes on 55th and Ocean Blvd. Its 4 miles from Hardrock and Planet Hollywood,5 miles from the Pavillion Area,6miles from Barefoot Landing and 16 miles from Murrells Inlet. Check out Celebrety Square in Broadway At The Beach in particular Crocadile Rocks.
