moveing to goosecreek area

Hi My husband is transferring to the NWS Charleston ... so we will be moving to the navy housing in goose creek. I was hoping someone could tell me a little about the area. Are there really good places to fish and crab and also I am a little concern about all the cockroaches people keep telling me about when I say I am moving to the Charleston are.

You will absolutely love the Charleston area......now Goose Creek is a different story but hey, Charleston is in your backyard so to speak. The weapons station is somewhat isolated in a corner of Goose Creek but everything is within a few miles. ';The Creek'; has growed like crazy in the past few years and it%26#39;s growing more and more every day. If fishing is your thing, you%26#39;ll love it!!! Palmetto bugs (very large flying cockroaches) are a part that makes Charleston unique, there%26#39;re here, live with it...they don%26#39;t bother ya...this is the ';lowcountry'; hot, humid, marshland, swamps..the perfect breeding ground for such bugs..But oh it%26#39;s beautiful. I travel the world and I am always so gald to return to Charleston.
