Wedding Venue help

Can anone tell me whether St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church of Holy Family Catholic church is more picturesque for a wedding ceremony.

Could you also tell me the top 2 or 3 high end wedding reception venues. I head of Dafuskie, Sea Pines, Hilton, Marriot, etc. but would like to know from someone who is local or has experience.

Wedding Venue help

Since I am not a catholic, I can%26#39;t help you about which church is more picturesque for a wedding ceremony.

Here are some possibilities for a reception venue.

Hotels:

Hilton Resort, and the Westin. Both of these have oceanfront venues, and serve excellent meals.

Windows on the Waterday - This is a catering establishment run by the Lowry group. they are the owners of CQ%26#39;s, Old Fort Pub, Ocean Grill, Antonios, and the Boathouse. The venue which is in Hilton Head Plantation looks out on Port Royal Sound

Sea Pines - The Inn at HarbourTown, or the Harbortowne Yacht Club. Both these venues are in HarborTown.

The Country Club of Hilton Head - If you are looking for a country club setting. They do non member catering.

Dafauskie Island Club has several venues available From Country Club, Beach, Hunting Lodge, or Inn. The only problem is transportation. The ferry takes one hour each way, and guests probably would have to stay at the resort if you plan to have a late session.

Wedding Venue help

Hi Stan! thank you! :) I have almost reserved Daufuskie. Have you eaten there before? It would be a resort wedding so that would be fine to have everyone stay there. Is it deemed as a nice place to the locals? Thanks for the tips Stan!

I%26#39;ve only played golf there ';Bloody Point';. The meal was various hot foods as in a reception. Never had a sit down.

Looked through Hilton Head Monthly today. They have a wedding section in this months issue. Here are two other venues I found there.

1 - Wexford

2 - SC Yacht Club at Windmill Harbor.

Both are private clubs which allow non member receptions. Both are on private inner harbor marinas.
