Best area to stay in Mrytle Beach??

What is the best area to stay in Mrytle Beach if you want to get away from the crowds, or what is the best area if you want to be close to all the nitelife clubs etc?

Best area to stay in Mrytle Beach??

First, lets do the best area for niteclubs...if you want it all right there, nitelife, food, entertainment, shopping, fireworks, etc...then it has to be Broadway at the Beach. Some hotels there are The Hampton @ Broaday (really nice!) The Fairfield and the HI Express (off the main property)right next door to Planet Hollywood and Club Kryptonite (pretty cool club -- especially late night) or La Quinta or The Mariott at 21st. This area is not the place you want to stay if you want to get away from the crowds, especially during the Harley Bike weeks! And when they do the fireworks on Tuesdays..wow, its elbow to elbow! But that being said...its great to be right there, and the beach is either a lloooonnnnnggggg walk or bus or taxi trip (about 1 to 1 1/2 miles away)

As far as getting away from the crowds, but being at the beach, I%26#39;d opt for maybe the Pawleys Island area or Litchfield Beach. Litchfield Inn is really quaint, and very quiet! Some great food down that way too, and some great places to catch live music, but not really the ';night club'; type places. The north end of Myrtle can be less crowded than the south end, again depending on the time of year...but if you want QUIET, then diffinately Pawleys or Litchfield.

Best area to stay in Mrytle Beach??

Great area between 52nd and 79th in Myrtle Beach to get away from the crowds but yet easy drive to most attractions. Some hotels are Forest Dunes,Long Bay,and Grande Shores.
