Long Bay is a great choice. Good location, great beach area, fairly new resort with alot to do there on the property.

Not sure what type of ';tips'; you are looking for...if you are a golfer, April is full swing :) into our spring golf season, so if you are looking to play a specific course, at a specific time...book early! The weather can be really, really nice....or not quite so nice. Seems like this season has been a mild one, ocean water temp hasnt even dropped below 50 this year! So, should warm up fast.

Are you flying or driving down? There is our local bus service - LYMO - that runs a pretty good route to some of the area attractions. Get a copy of the local newspaper to scan for any dining or attraction specials. Sometimes you%26#39;ll find buy one get one...even in April!

Hope this helps a bit....have a great time!

Golf= Within 10 miles or closer.Upper tier courses Grande Dunes,Barefoot Courses and Dunes Club. Good quality for less cost= Myrtlewood,Pine Lakes and Possum Trot.

Dining=Villa Mare, Bonefish Grille, Landry%26#39;s,Carolina Roadhouse,Hamburger Joes and Southern Market for takeout. For lunch try a Loaf of Soup from Atlanta Bread Company.

The area around Long Bay is I.M.O. the best section on the Strand. And Martins Restaurant inside of Long Bay is better than most hotel restaurants.

Golf - Recommend Heather Glen or Glen Dornach

They offer package deals.

Dining - Our family likes:

Tony%26#39;s in NMB

Sea Captains House in MB -Oceanfront - Great Seafood and view

Southern Market - Takeout
