I am planning to spend a week in Myrtle this summer. I have never been there and will need at least 3 bedrooms and a pullout couch in the family room. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Looking for 3bdrm condo. Never been to Myrtle.Looking to stay in Myrtle, as opposed to North Myrtle. I checked vrbo.com and is cherry grove in myrtle or N. myrtle.
Looking for 3bdrm condo. Never been to Myrtle.Cherry Grove is north Myrtle. Surfside/Garden City is south Myrtle. You may want to browse the boards, and consider which part of Myrtle to stay in based on other%26#39;s posts.
BTW, welcome to the Carolinas by way of Cleveland. I lived there for almost 3 years and loved it! I bet it is chilly up there right now...
QB you are on the right track by checking out vrbo.com
I%26#39;ve used them twice and had great 3 bedroom condos.
We have also stayed at Carolina Winds which is in the north END of Myrtle Beach (NOT North Myrtle Beach). This hotel is in a residental neighborhood and the beach isn%26#39;t quite as crowded. The 3 bedroom condos here are great. It is also very convenient to stores, resturants, shopping, attractions.
Myrtle Beach is a very easy city to get around in. There IS a lot of traffic, but everything is easy to find. I highly suggest you stay in a hotel located from around 53th Ave North and up to 79th or so. Just nicer location.
Also,FYI, early in June you might find a LOT of high-school seniors still there from ';Senior-Week';. And the 4th of July week will be VERY crowded and expensive.
Again www.vrbo.com is the way to go!
For the past few years we have rented an oceanfront 3 bedroom/3 bath condo directly from the owner at www.myrtlecondos.com. The condo is at the Seawatch Plantation which is conveniently located between Myrtle Beach and North Beach. This area will be much less crowded than ';downtown Myrtle Beach'; yet approximately 1 mile to the Wal-mart supercenter and the Tanger Outlet Mall. Check out her website. There are many pictures.
I can help you out QB1800. I have 2 great possibilities; one for up to 10, the other for up to 12 people. Both have 3 full baths. Shoot me an email and I%26#39;ll send you information, pictures, etc. jandja2000@bellsouth.net
The proximity of Sea watch to Walmart,Tanger Outlet, and Galleria Shopping Center with only 2 roads leading out to 17 make this a traffic nightmare in summer months.I beleive one road is Lake Arrowhead Rd. and the name of the other escapes me. But the beach section is rather nice.Prefer section of Myrtle Beach between 52nd and 79th.Very easy to reach 17,31, and Grissom Parkway.
The proximity of Seawatch to Tanger Outlet,Walmart, and Galleria Shopping Center is why I would not recommend this location. There are only 2 roads leading out to 17 and in the summer it can be a traffic nightmare. I beleive one road is Lake Arrowhead Rd. and the name of the other escapes me.The beach area is rather nice though. Much prefer the area of Myrtle Beach between 52nd. and 79th. Very easy to get to 17,17bypass,31, and Grissom Parkway from there.
We love Arrowhead Road BECAUSE it%26#39;s so close to everything you will need. Walmart and the Tanger Outlets on one end and Kroger on the other end. We stay in Kingston Plantation and don%26#39;t even have to leave the resort if we don%26#39;t want to because they offer so much within the resrot. 145 acres, right next door to the Apache Pier. I will agree that July 4th is NOT the weekend to go unless you have no other choice. If you must go at that time you may want to consider Surfside Beach area.
If you are interested in seeing photos of where we stay in Kingston you can email me directly: lillious@mac.com It%26#39;s a great place!
Check out the website www.vrbo.com. They have such a huge variety of rental properties. I have found my condo there and and very satisfied with the results I get.
