M Grande Resort and Spa

What can people tell me about this hotel? I called and they said they allow you to stay one nite, there prices at expedia is only $106 for a king oceanfront room but if you call the hotel directly the room is $179. I have seen good reviews but alot of bad ones too, any advice? Also, how about Schooner II Beach Club or Tropical Winds.

M Grande Resort and Spa

The M Grande is the old Four Points Sheraton. The new owners seem to have put quite a bit of money into updating this property. Just a note that there is building construction going on right next door...pretty major construction. It is at the south end of the Myrtle Beach area...not far from Downwind Sails (parasail, jet skiis and hobie rental), Damons Restaurant, and Springmaid Pier.

Tropical Winds and Schooner II are more to the middle of the strip...close to Family Kingdom Amusement Park. Again, older properties with some updates going on, but not alot of building construction going on in that area.

I%26#39;ve found that if you locate a price say on Expedia, or other travel sites and you inform the hotel of that rate, that sometimes they will honor that rate, or may inform you of other ';inhouse'; offers.

M Grande Resort and Spa

Will the construction be done by June 14th? I would hope so that is the peak season there. Is the M Grande close to all the stuff, the main thing I was wanting to go to was Broadway on the Beach or is there some nice nite spots to visit close to the M Grande. Since I never have stayed there I don%26#39;t know where everything is. Thanks for the advice. I just can%26#39;t afford to spend $200 for one nite stay that would cut in on my fun while im there.

Lets hope so...really not sure on that. Maybe they could tell you there at the hotel. The M Grande is in the 2700 block south Ocean Blv runs to th 3000 block..so its almost at the end of the beach in MB. Not saying there isnt anything to do..because you have Downwind Sails (parasail, jet skii and Hobie rental) Damons restaurant and Bar (outside) a short walk away. Springmaid Pier is right there too. You would need to either take the bus, taxi or your vehicle to get to Broadway, which, if you have never been, is a pretty cool place, especially for night life. Another great nite spot on the south end is Jasmines. Its a great Jazz/Blues club. They also have great food and serve full meals till pretty late.

You may want to check our these 2 websites for maps of the area and other ';to do'; things:
