Moving to Aiken for Savannah River Site job offer

I would like more information on homes/ apartments or townhomes to rent or buy near the Savannah River Site. It seems as though, According to mapquest, everthing is just about one hour away from the site including downtown Aiken and Augusta. I am not to fond of driving an hour to and from work.

as you go to visit to find a place i can highly reccomend the winton inn in williston sc to stay. the food in the restaurant is too good to be true. just plan on coming hungry.

Thank you very much.

Too add to my post, I am a single young black female. I want to be SAFE but not too isolated. Which ot these towns are the most diverse and the most welcoming. You see I will be moving all by myself and I desire to get to know as many people as possible.

thank you for your response

these are all very small towns with limited available shopping other than in aiken or augusta or columbia, which are all no more than 30-40 min away. i think you will we happy with the welcome you receive. after all it is southern hospitality. it%26#39;s something you have to see, feel an experience first hand to really know.

Good luck with the job - I just left the site. We lived in Aiken and loved it, it%26#39;s not as busy as Augusta, which is where most of the new hires chose to live, but it has just as much and is closer to Columbia for shoping. Look at the Colanies Apts in Aiken or ask your host, Kim Lang lives in Augusta and works at the site - she would be a good contact.
