Where to Stay with teenagers in Myrtle Beach?

We are a couple with two boys age 14 and 17. We hardly even go on vacation, but want to go somewhere with lots for them to do. Where would be a good place to stay? Thanks!

Kingston Plantation is nice, large with lots to do. And the ';Sands'; Resorts seem to have a lot going on also. There are a couple of them in MB.

When we go to MB, my 17 yr old son always finds some kids on the beach to hang out with (usually a girl though ;) During the day, kids just hang out on the beach or at their pools, and during the night they love the Pavillion area and Broadway at the Beach. We have stayed at Carolina Winds, and my son will go two doors down to the Sands Resort where they have a band every night and just hang out on the lawn. There is also a Juice/Daiquari Bar down from that where he loves to go to.

There are so many places to choose from. One always seems better than the next. Just look thru all the hotels listed here on the left of the screen.

Have fun.

I agree the Kingston Plantation is nice, alot to do there at the resort, but really out of the way for anything else. I would say one of the Sands resorts, (the one around 75th Ave N just completed a complete renovation and added alot of new activities there)or if you want closer to the downtown/Pavilion Amusement area maybe The Breakers or Camelot. Most kids tend to find someone to hangout with thru the day on the beach...and with most OF hotels and the pool bars having music theres plenty to do thru the day...of course there is always mini-golf, go-karts, surf leasons, parasailing, hobie cat and jet ski rental....and thats just the daytime :) At nite, Broadway at the Beach and even the Pavilion area are great attractions. Most can be reached by our local transportation service - LYMO - little buses that will take you just about anywhere for a few dollars. Or check with you hotel, some do offer shuttle services from their bell desk. Have a great time! Myrtle Beach is a great place for a family vacation with kids the age of yours :)

When we go to MB with teens (now early 20%26#39;s) we like to stay in the Southern part of MB. I don%26#39;t like to be too close to the Pavillion area. That%26#39;s really where all the teens %26amp; 20%26#39;s are but it%26#39;s just not a great atmosphere (in my humble opinion).

We%26#39;ve stayed at SeaCrest Resort. Coral Beach is a good resort with teens too. They always meet up with others of the same age %26amp; often keep in touch after the vacation is over.

We%26#39;ve stayed at The Caribbean (further north) %26amp; they really felt like they were too far away from the ';action';.

We prefer northern MB when we don%26#39;t have kids. It%26#39;s a bit more quiet.

The Avista resort is a great place to stay. It is new, clean and has three pools a couple lazy rivers, hot tubs and of course it is on the beach. We love it!!
