Hilton Head fishing?

would like to know if there is shore fishing in the Hilton Head area. Possibly even a 3-4 hour charter and for what type of fish. We will be arriving on July 15. Thanks. Any info on fishing and costs would be appreciated.

Hilton Head fishing?

There are plenty of fishing opportunities on the island.

Party Boats charge about $50 for a half day trip

Charters are available which go to the rivers and estuaries in the area. You can go for a half day or full day. Prices range from $350 for a half day and $500 for eight hours.

You can also have an offshore excursion in the ocean for about the same price.

You can also go for a gulf stream jaunt. They are 12 to 14 hour excursions and generally go for about $2000. the gulf stream is about 70 miles off shore, so the difference in cost is the time as well as the fuel.

It is also possible to fish the Lagoons in Palmetto Dunes.

The Rivers and Estuaries have trout and redfish primarily.

Offshore have King mackerel, cobia, Flounder, tarpon and sharks.

Party Boats leave from Shelter Cove Marina, and Harbortown.

Charters are available from the above, plus Palmetto Bay, and the Boathouse marinas.
