We have stayed at Long Bay this past summer and were pleased. We would def. return there again. BUT I can%26#39;t help looking at other hotels. Anyone have any input from the Ocean Reef? Was it clean, how were the pools etc. I believe they sit side by side on the beach.
Ocean Reef vs. Long Bay
Hi Jess:
Yes, Ocean Reef is just south of Long Bay. I can%26#39;t imagine being disappointed at either property. I would say Ocean Reef seems a little more luxurious, especially the lobby area, which almost makes you feel you are ';underdressed!'; I think you will find the rates at Long Bay more wallet-friendly, but if you have a money tree, I%26#39;d stay at Ocean Reef.
Ocean Reef vs. Long Bay
The Ocean Reef is a bit more modern and fancier than the Long Bay, although I think that either hotel would be a good choice. You are correct that both hotels are located adjacent to each other. I have heard a lot of positive comments about both hotels, but some minor things to consider about the Ocean Reef are that the elevators are a bit on the slow side and finding a parking space isn%26#39;t always the easiest (probably true of many other hotels too). Be adventurous and give the Ocean Reef a try this summer. You won%26#39;t know what the Ocean Reef is like unless you give it a try! I think that it sounds like a very nice place to stay at.
Ocean Reef is great...have stayed there twice. Yes, they are next door.
Hi Jess
I am planning to stay at Long bay the last week in April, I am really excited! I see you mentioned you have stayed there before, can you tell me what you think? I booked an oceanfront 2 room suite. I also considered the Ocean reef but read good reviews on Long Bay! I would love to hear from you!
