I%26#39;ve been to Myrtle Beach some 20 years ago, and my wife%26#39;s never been. We%26#39;re looking for a short (3,4,5 nights) getaway to play some golf in Myrtle Beach.
Any recommendations for a value vacation?
We%26#39;re not extremely fussy about a place or view, (and we%26#39;re not cheap either - henece we%26#39;re looking for value) but would prefer something on or near the main drag. Something with a Kitchenette would be ideal. As for expectations, anything with at least the cleanliness of a major inexpensive chain would be just fine. (ie. Quality Inns)
We%26#39;re certainly not great golfers either. Is it worth reviewing the offers by the various golf sites %26amp; e-mails that include a round of golf, accomodations, %26amp; b-fast, or is it better to go and book tee-offs while there and look for a separate hotel deal? Also, is there a particular time period where the prices jump up due to US holidays that we should avoid.
Last time there, I did manage to find a %26#39;tower%26#39; with a Kitchen for some ridiculously low price - I probably hit the off season then.
Appreciate any and all suggestions %26amp; thoughts... thanks.
Value Getaway to Myrtle Beach - Late March, Early April?First, you need to post this in the ';Myrtle Beach'; forum. You will get a lot of help there.
When are you planning to go? If you go in the ';off'; season (not summer) then you can easily get a room for just a few days at a great price. And most rooms at the beach have at least a little stove and fridge in them.
Again put this in the Myrtle Beach Forum and you will get lots of advice. Also read all the other posts there too. They might already have an answer for you.
Value Getaway to Myrtle Beach - Late March, Early April? The time you are looking is great. Weather is starting to warm up and rates are as cheap as they get. They probably start going up last week of April. We%26#39;ve made several trips to North Myrtle during %26#39;off-season%26#39;. We have stayed in various locations, but our favorite has been in Cherry Grove. We stayed at a condo (2bed/2bath, fully equipped large kitchen, large TV, great view of inlet, across the street from the beach. It%26#39;s probably only $50 to $60 a night that time of year. We rented through Elliott Realty. They have a lot of selections, but condo we enjoyed the most was called Reflections (2nd row). They also offer great golf packages through Elliott.
Thanks for the feedback so far..I%26#39;ve reposed to the more specific ';M-B'; forum (these forums obviously do get very specific). We%26#39;re planning on either Late March, early April, outside of the Easter Week (preferrably when it will be about 15-20 degrees warmer there than the 40%26#39;s to low 50%26#39;s and rain we have in Ontario).
Regards,
