The Hampton Inn %26amp; Suites Oceanfront (hamptoninnoceanfront.com) is a gorgeous hotel, the cleanest you will find and an unbelievably friendly staff! It is rated the #1 hotel in MB and that particular Hampton Inn is rated one of the top 5 Hampton Inns in the entire nation! One of the things I love about the Hampton Inn hotel chain is if you are not 100% satisfied you do not pay! They are located on the south end of Ocean Blvd (2 miles south of the Pavilion). Their suites are magnificent! The prices are a bit high but as we know you get what you pay for. They have both 1 %26amp; 2 bedroom suites. A 1 bedroom has a king bed in the bedroom, living room where the couch pulls out into a queen bed, kitchen, a large bathroom with double sinks, a tub and a seperate marble shower,a private oceanfront balcony %26amp; 2 tvs. That one would probably be in your price range. They also have 2 bedroom suites with either 1 bath or 2 that includes 2 seperate bedrooms, living room, kitchen and a private oceanfront balcony off of the living room. Those cost a bit more but every penny is worth it. The 2 bedroom suites with 1 bathroom has the same large bathroom as the 1 bedroom suites. They are beautiful...the master bedroom (which is oceanfront) has a king bed with a sliding glass door you can open so you can lay in bed and listen to the ocean. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds and in the living room the couch pulls out into a queen bed. A full hot and cold breakfast is included every morning so that will definitely save you some money. They also provide free high speed internet access, they have 2 computers set up if you did not bring a laptop. The hotel has 2 pools, a kiddie pool, jacuzzi and a lazy river. I think you will be very happy if you choose the Hampton Inn Oceanfront. Enjoy your visit to MB!

Total agreement, anybobnmb! If the south end is your place to stay at the beach, the Hampton OF is it! Great property (great description, bob!) and wonderful, wonderful staff!

Have a great time!

I%26#39;ve looked into that one and it is out of mr price range. Is there any other ones that you all can suggest?

Hmmm...lets see, have you tried Coral Beach Resort, or maybe The Reef resort? Both are ocean front, not sure if Coral Beach has 2 bedroom condos, but they at least have 1 bedrooms...and the Reef I know has 2 bedroom condos for right around that $250 per night or less. Both properties, however, have mixed reviews...both are older, and have had some renovations with CB propbably having the most extensive here recently.

That time of year is going to be difficult in finding something that larege in that price range...a number of places that would probably be available are already booked. Have you considered the north end of Myrtle...say the Ocean Forest, Caravelle, Monteray Suites or Ocean Dunes? These are in the ';Avenues'; area...say from about 50th Ave N to 77th Ave N....still not far from ';the action';...and really a nicer beach (in my opinion of course :)...)Most of these properties are more like condo hotels, and looking at some of the rates on various search engines would be more in your price range. You may also want to check out

www.vrbo.com for more ';condo'; options.

Let us know what you find out! :)
