does anyone know anything about this place? the website looks FABULOUS! also where is the location in compared to all the fun things to do in myrtle beach? (basically is it centrally located or far off somewhere?) please help! I think this may be my hotel...but I would like more opinions. THANKS!
Southwind
If you mean Southwind Villas (?) it is on 53th Ave north, which is a very nice area. Quiet beach not too crowded, but centrally located. You will have to drive to resturants and ';Broadway'; and ';Barefoot';, but its not that far at all.(Actually pretty close to Broadway) You pretty much have to drive there no matter where you stay anyway.
Looks like a very nice place.
Southwind
yeah I mean southwind villas! thanks!!
I have stayed in this neighborhood and it is very nice. Nice jogging trail along beach, little playground areas. Quiet, residential area. Still close to grocery stores, shopping, resturants, etc.
What is the exact website?
thesouthwind.com is the web site. I am booking this one I believe! thanks for your help!
If you haven,t booked yet compare the price you have with Forest Dunes on 55th and Ocean. Some great 3bed 2 1/2 bath condos with great views.
I agree...that area is one of my fav areas of MB. Nice wide beach, easy to go for a run, walk or bike ride. The local bus - LYMO - runs the length of Ocean Blvd, so that makes is easy to get to the downtown area, the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach, a grocery store, and a number of restaurants. There is a bit of construction going on there (as there is in most of MB) there is a stormwater runoff project currently blocking a bit of the view on the ocean at about 50th Ave N...not sure when they plan on completeing that project, which is long overdue and we%26#39;re happy that it is being done..but it is interesting to watch some of that type of ';construction';.
