What is peak travel season for Charleston, SC? What is the best time of year to travel to be able to see the sights without paying premiums?
thanks
peak seasonYou know, Charleston has actually turned into an almost year round city because of our climates and activities. But typically, you%26#39;ll find your best deals on rooms in December and January...the only down side is that some of the sights have shortened hours during those times and limited activities -- just went to Boone Hall yesterday and their plantation tram doesn%26#39;t run in the winter for example.
Mid-season when you can still find good deals is generally February, July - September and November. If you%26#39;ve never been to Charleston in July - September, it is HOT and HUMID so just keep that in mind but coming from LA, you%26#39;re probably used to that :)
High season is most definitely March - June and October. During this time, rooms are at a premium but the weather is grand.
